Kalambay Media — One-Call Close
For Jason · target 20–30% close rate · hard cap 45 minutes · built from 7 call transcript reviews, Sept 10–16 2026
Pre-Call Setup
- Screen share ready: 3 case studies open in tabs (Vaya, Yuri, Swiss coach 75K→111K/30 days) — not buried in a folder.
- Contract PDF ready in a separate tab, payment link embedded. Send the moment they say yes.
- Prospect's name, city, business type from the setter's WhatsApp handoff. Know if a spouse is involved in finances before you dial.
- Timer running. At 40 min, drive to the close. At 45, wrap. No exceptions.
Mindset: you're not asking for money — you're facilitating a decision they already want to make. You're a cashier, not a beggar.
The Direct Open
Skip small talk. Get them to state their outcome and pain in their own words.
"Hey [Name], it's Jason from Kalambay Media. Thanks for jumping on. Real quick before we get into it — I want to make sure our time today is actually useful for you. What made you reach out today? What's the one thing that if we could fix it or change it about your business right now, you'd be glad you took this call?"
[Let them answer. Do not interrupt. Do not fill silence.]
"And what have you tried so far? What's not working?"
"Got it. So here's how this works — I'll ask you a few questions to understand your business, I'll show you exactly what we do and the results we've gotten for people in your situation, and if it feels like a fit, I'll show you how to get started today. If it's not a fit, I'll tell you that too. Sound good?"
Completion signal: they say "yes" / "sounds good" → move to Phase 2.
Discovery + Capability Flex
Understand the business. Show 1–2 matching case studies. Credibility through proof, not backstory.
Step 1 — Discovery (5–12 min). Ask in order, skip none:
"So tell me — what does your business look like right now? What are you selling, who are you selling it to, and roughly what's your monthly revenue?"
"What's your goal for the next 4–6 months? If we worked together and it went really well, what would that look like for you?"
[Listen for emotional words — "feel secure," "quit my day job." This is closing fuel.]
"What's stopping you from getting there right now? What's the bottleneck?"
"And last question before I show you what we do — is there anyone else involved in the financial side of your business? A spouse, a partner, anyone who'd need to be on board with an investment like this?"
Most important question in the call. Preempts the "talk to my wife" objection.
If yes, available now:
"Great — are they available to join this call right now, or would it make sense to have them on the next one? I'd love for them to hear it directly rather than you explaining it second-hand."
If not available:
"No problem. If this is a fit, I'll send you a short summary document after this call that you can forward to them. That way they're seeing it from me, not your memory. Does that work?"
Step 2 — Capability Flex (12–20 min). Show 1–2 case studies that match, not all of them:
- Coach/gym owner → Vaya (0→8,000 CHF/mo, 1,800 followers) + Swiss coach (75K→111K/30 days)
- Professional/service business → Yuri (0→35,000 CHF/mo in 9 months, police exam prep)
- Same region as prospect → lead with that one
"Let me show you what this looks like. [Screen share.] This is [Name]. When we started, they were at [starting number]. Within [timeframe], they were at [ending number]. What made the difference wasn't more ads or posting — it was [positioning / storytelling / authentic connection]. Does this feel similar to your situation?"
Your backstory — MAX 3 minutes:
"I built a 2.6 million follower audience and a 7-figure business using this exact system. I was a personal trainer in Neuchâtel 10 years ago. Now my brother runs the gym in Lausanne, my sister runs the studio in Yverdon, and I help entrepreneurs in French Switzerland do what I did. That's why this is only 12 people at a time."
Completion signal: prospect confirms the proof feels relevant to their situation.
The Offer Presentation
Present clearly, tie to their stated goal, name the price without flinching.
"Okay [Name], based on what you've told me — you're at [their revenue], your goal is [their goal], and the bottleneck is [their bottleneck]. Here's what I'd recommend."
[Present the recommended option first. You are the doctor — you prescribe.]
"We have two ways to work together. Based on where you are, I'd recommend [Option name]. Here's what's included: [4–5 deliverables, plain language]. You film 5–6 hours a month, we handle scripting, editing, posting across 5 platforms, monthly reporting, two coaching calls a month."
"The investment is [price] CHF per month, with a 3-month commitment. Month one is positioning and setup, month two is momentum, month three is real traction. Not a coincidence our best results come after 90 days."
"We guarantee [X] views in 90 days. If we don't hit that, we keep going for free until we do. No time limit, not a franc more. In the contract in black and white."
[Pause. Let them process. Do not fill the silence.]
If they ask about other options:
"We also have [Option B] at [price B] and [Option C] at [price C]. But based on what you told me, [Option A] is the right fit. I'd start here and scale up if needed."
Completion signal: they've heard the price and haven't hung up → Phase 4.
Objection Preemption + Q&A
Beat every objection to the punch before they raise it.
"Before you decide, let me tell you the three things people usually want to know."
1 — "I need to think about it":
"You've been thinking about your visibility for [however long]. Has thinking about it changed anything? The people who get results decide and take action. The question isn't 'should I think about it' — it's 'is now the right time to fix it.' Based on what you told me, now is."
2 — Budget:
"If this gets you even 2–3 new clients in 90 days, the program pays for itself. The real question isn't 'can I afford [price] a month' — it's 'can I afford another 6 months figuring this out alone while competitors build the audience I should be building.' Which is more expensive?"
3 — Spouse/Partner:
"You should absolutely talk to them. Rather than 'I need to think about it,' tell them 'I found the solution, here's what it costs, here's what it does, I think it's right for us.' I'll send you a one-page summary after this call to forward to them."
Dynamic Q&A:
"What questions do you have? What's going through your mind right now?"
[After each answer: "Does that make sense?" Watch for the shift from "how does it work?" to "when can we start?" — that's the signal.]
Completion signal: questions have shifted from analytical to logistical.
The Close
Ask for the money. Get a yes, a no, or a specific objection.
"Okay [Name], based on everything we've talked about, I think this is a great fit. You're at [situation], you want [goal], and the system I showed you is exactly how we get people there."
"Here's what I'd recommend: [Option name] at [price] CHF/month for 3 months. I've got the contract ready to send right now — payment link and onboarding questionnaire inside. Once you sign and pay, I'll book your onboarding call and we start this week."
"You're one of 12 spots. Does this feel right to you? Are you ready to get started?"
[Shut up. Wait. The next person who speaks loses.]
If YES:
"Perfect. Sending you the contract right now — check your email in the next 2 minutes. Payment link is on page 3."
Send it WHILE on the call. "I just sent it — can you check your email?" Then: "Once you've signed, I'll WhatsApp you next steps. Any questions before we wrap?"
If "I need to think about it": do NOT say "take your time" or book a follow-up.
"I hear you. Quick question — what specifically do you need to think about? The investment, the timing, or something else?"
Budget → "How long are you willing to let that gap exist? Send it to you now, take 24 hours to review with [spouse/yourself] — but I need your answer either way because I'm holding your spot."
Spouse → "I'll send the contract + one-page summary now. Forward it tonight. If they're on board, you sign. If questions, I'm free 10 minutes tomorrow. Need your answer by [day]."
Timing ("wait till January") → "People who start now have a 3-month head start by January. I'd rather have you in momentum by January than starting from scratch."
If NO:
"Totally fair. Can I ask — what made it a no? Investment, timing, or something about the offer?"
Get the real reason. "I'll send you a summary — if anything changes, you have my number."
Completion signal: contract sent, OR 24hr deadline set with contract in hand, OR clean no with reason identified.
Objection Handler — Pocket Guide
"I need to think about it"
Means: not comfortable deciding, or an unspoken objection.
Say: "What specifically do you need to think about? The investment, the timing, or something else?" Isolate the real objection before granting any delay.
"I need to talk to my spouse/partner"
Means: hasn't decided themselves, spouse controls money, or using spouse as a buffer.
Say: "What do YOU think? If it were just your decision, what would you choose?" Get their committed answer first, then send the one-pager to forward + a deadline.
"It's too expensive / I don't have the budget"
Means: not enough perceived value, or genuinely can't afford it.
Say: "If this got you 2–3 new clients in 90 days, would it pay for itself?" If yes → reframe as cost of staying stuck. If truly can't afford → offer the lower tier as a stepping stone.
"Maybe I should wait / in a few months"
Means: not enough pain yet, or scared of committing.
Say: "What changes between now and then? People who start now have a head start by [date]. Every month you wait pushes your goal further away."
"I want to compare options / see other providers"
Means: not convinced you're the best, or stalling.
Say: "What specifically would you compare? Most agencies charge the same without the 90-day guarantee. Sign tonight — if you find better in 24 hours, I'll void the contract."
"Can you send me more information?"
Means: wants to exit gracefully, not ready to decide.
Say: "Absolutely, sending it now — but before we get off, based on what you saw today, does this feel like the right fit?" Force the commitment question before granting the exit. Attach a deadline.
The 7 Rules That Govern This Script
- You are the doctor, not the waiter. Prescribe one option. Lead.
- The price is stated, not negotiated. One sentence, no softening. If you flinch, they flinch.
- Silence is your weapon. After the price, after the ask — shut up. The next person who speaks loses.
- No follow-up calls unless absolutely necessary. Close now or 24-hour deadline with contract already sent.
- Send the contract on the call. Not after. While they're still on the phone.
- Cap the call at 45 minutes. At 40, drive to the close. At 45, wrap.
- You must attempt to close on every call. Even a no means you asked. Not asking is the only failure.
Remember this above everything: when someone says they want to start, your only job is to make it easy to say yes right now — not to give them more time to change their mind. The contract is ready. The payment link is inside. Send it while they're still on the phone.
Pre-Framing Assets (before the call)
- Confirmation page video (90s): sets expectation to come ready to decide, flags spouse involvement, states starting price (997 CHF/mo).
- Pre-call email (24h before): three case studies with numbers — Vaya 0→8,000, Yuri 0→35,000, Swiss coach 75K→111K.
- Setter WhatsApp (1h before): reminds them it's a decision call, invites spouse to join.
- One-page investment summary PDF: options, price, 3-month commitment, 90-day guarantee — sent before the call, no sticker shock.
- Spouse brief document: shareable one-pager for the prospect to forward before ever saying "I need to talk to my wife."
